If you’re an eBay reseller or enjoy flipping items for profit, estate sales can be a goldmine for finding valuable and unique items to sell. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a hoarder’s estate sale and I wanted to share my haul and review of the experience.
First off, if you’re not familiar with estate sales, they are typically organized by a company or individuals to sell off the belongings of someone who has either passed away or is downsizing. Hoarder’s estate sales can be particularly intriguing because you never know what you might find buried under piles of items.
I arrived at the estate sale early and was immediately struck by the sheer volume of items for sale. There were vintage furniture pieces, old electronics, stacks of magazines, and so much more. It was overwhelming at first, but I knew that with a keen eye, I could find some hidden treasures.
One thing I noticed right away was that many of the items were in excellent condition despite the overall chaos. I found a vintage record player in its original box, some rare vinyl records, and a collection of vintage cameras. These were all items that I knew would fetch a good price on eBay.
In addition to the electronics and vintage items, there were also plenty of smaller collectibles and knick-knacks. I picked up a set of vintage teacups, a collection of antique silverware, and a few pieces of vintage jewelry. These smaller items may not bring in as much profit individually, but they add up and can be sold in bulk on eBay or at a flea market.
One of the best parts of the estate sale was the pricing. The organizers were motivated to clear out the home, so the prices were very reasonable. I was able to negotiate even further on some items, which made the potential profit margin even better.
In all, my haul from the hoarder’s estate sale was excellent. I was able to find a wide variety of items that I know will bring in a good profit once I list them on eBay. The experience was also a reminder of how important it is to have a sharp eye when sifting through piles of items at estate sales.
If you’re a reseller or just someone who enjoys a good treasure hunt, I highly recommend checking out estate sales in your area. You never know what you might find, and it can be a thrilling and lucrative experience.
If you’re interested in seeing my haul in action, I’ve also put together a short video showcasing some of the items I found at the estate sale. Stay tuned for that on my YouTube channel!
